Slow Carb Diet
Sam is on a quest to drop his extra weight.
Three Months Later...274lbs
Sam started the slow carb diet on May 20, 2012. All the weight lost has been due soley to the diet. Now, he'll start doing daily workouts on a recumbent bike from Hest Fitness Products.
I posted a collection of Caller Times stories about Destination Bankrupt Bayfront. Scroll down a bit, you'll see the links.
IN THE BOX....Congressman Blake Farenthold.
It appears that the ACA website, aka Obamacare, is still not working as it should. They are now very proud of the fact that 50,000 people can be on it at one time.
How many people are on Facebook or Twitter at the same time? Just curious.
It's time to admit that the ACA is an unworkable, disastrous screwup, Mr. President, and consult with PROFESSIONALS who can help you undo the damage you have wrought on the American citizens you are supposed to Preserve, Protect and Defend.
And while you're at it - quit firing high ranking military officers.
“The progressive, post-World War II welfare state has failed and its continuation is not financially possible”.....
It would be more than welcome news to hear a group of our representatives making this statement, unfortunately both parties seem to be in some sort of contest as "ultimate caretaker".
In an address to the people of the Netherlands earlier this year, the Dutch King Willem-Alexander declared the welfare state ‘dead,’ and said that the people of the Netherlands needed to look more after themselves in a ‘participatory society’ without depending so much on government. http://www.ijreview.com/2013/11/80156-dutch-king-declares-welfare-state-dead/
In 1960 you could buy a gallon of gas for three dimes…and you still can today......— if they’re silver dimes. It’s recorded in many places, including government compilations such as the Historical Statistics of the United States. But most persons under the age of sixty are unwilling to accept it.
Few persons under that age are willing to believe that in those days:
I remember it all. All of it is verifiably true. (Oh, and there was no “knockout game,” either.) But for how much longer? For as long as they allow it, of course....
The government-run schools have slighted actual history so completely that the typical high-school graduate when asked what founding American document includes “From each according to his abilities; to each according to his needs,” answers “the Declaration of Independence.”
He’s read more about Harriet Tubman than about George Washington and Thomas Jefferson combined. He thinks the “party of slavery” was the Republican Party…and that Abraham Lincoln was a Democrat. He isn’t aware that is the U.S. fought Japan in World War II…or who won.
Given all that, how could anyone expect young Mr. John Q. Public to believe that gasoline ever cost $0.30 per gallon — or that there was so much of it available that gas station chains had to run giveaway programs and strange, raffle-like contests to compete with one another?
Our political class is perfectly happy with that.
Obami to BiBi....Shut Up!
This is one dissident His Majesty can’t shut down with a quiet word in the right bureaucratic ear:
President Obama has sent a query to Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu, asking the fiery and blunt-talking prime minister to take a break from his criticism of the U.S.-forged deal with Iran.
The Washington Post reported that Mr. Obama made the request during a phone call with the Israeli leader.
Mr. Netanyahu has publicly slammed the deal, saying Iran has won concessions that put Israel’s security in jeopardy. In the phone call, Mr. Obama said he’d keep Israel authorities in the loop on the final settlement arrangement —which could come as early as in six months — if Mr. Netanyahu could quiet his rhetoric a bit, The Hill reported.
It wasn’t immediately clear how Mr. Netanyahu responded to Mr. Obama’s telephoned request.
Some sports stuff...
I thought the Alabama/Auburn game was of National Championship quality. It was a slobber nocker. Both teams were awesome. I hope either team gets to play Ohio State/Florida State. I don't think Alabama should drop out of the tp 5, but that's just me.
Hard day for the Aggies. Missouri 28 Aggies 21. At least Sumlin is off the NFL market until....2015. Wait a minute, he's agreed, in principal to a 6 year extention the, math in my world takes that to 2019. But then it's only a contract right? Do you think Kevin Sumlin could use some help with Defense?
It may not be of much comfort to Aggie fans, three of the team's four losses came to teams currently ranked in the Top Five. The first half of the Missouri game I thought maybe the Defense had finally turned it around. Then the second half began.
While Manziel wasn't as bad as he was last week, he still didn't look like the Johnny Football we've come to know over the last two years. Does he have a thumb problem or not?
Will he leave for the NFL? Remember what he tweeted before the season started? ""Bulls--- like tonight is a reason why I can't wait to leave college station...whenever it may be." It has been a roller-coaster ride for Manziel in College Station, but in just two years, he became an Aggies' legend and the college game is better with him in it.
By the way, the running game was working against Missouri. Regardless of who is playing quarterback next season, Sumlin needs to do a better job of incorporating his talented backs into the game plan each week.
There is some good news for us, a massive offensive tackle prospect and one of the best JUCO players in the country, committed to Texas A&M on Thursday, in what amounts to a minor shock.
According to John Talty of the Clarion Ledger:
Avery Gennesy, one of the nation’s top junior college offensive linemen, verbally committed to Texas A&M over Ole Miss and Missouri.
Gennesy, surrounded by family on Thanksgiving, called Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin to give him the good news.
Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer thinks missing one half of football is enough punishment for offensive lineman Marcus Hall and running back Dontre Wilson, the two players ejected during the Buckeyes' fracas with Michigan on Saturday.
Speaking in his weekly teleconference to discuss Ohio State's 42-41 win over its rival, Meyer indicated he has no plans to suspend Hall or Wilson, who were both ejected for throwing punches early in the second quarter.
"I've dealt internally with the players, obviously Marcus Hall, Dontre Wilson and also there was another person who came off the bench that we had a discipline conversation already," Meyer said, via Austin Ward of ESPN. "Certainly I am going to handle the discipline of this situation."
KKTX HOTLINE......Seton Motley, Gubernatorial candidate Tom Paukin and coach Will Wilson.

TPPF statement on SCOTUS review of ObamaCare’s religious-liberty problems
AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation issued the following reaction today to the news that the U.S. Supreme Court will review the religious-liberty problems with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, otherwise known as ObamaCare:
"The Supreme Court's decision to review the ObamaCare contraception mandate means the law's overreach will again be subjected to much-needed constitutional scrutiny,” said Arlene Wohlgemuth, Executive Director and Director of the Center for Health Care, "With each passing week, this law's failures continue to mount — from millions of cancelled plans, to broken online exchanges, to skyrocketing premiums. The contraception mandate is one of many misguided parts of ObamaCare, and the Supreme Court should strike it down."
"This mandate, while offensive to both the letter and the spirit of the First Amendment, is in fact a natural consequence of ObamaCare's attempt to employ unlimited federal power to regulate all economic activity,” said Mario Loyola, Chief Counsel, "In asserting the government's authority to compel employers to provide health insurance, and individual Americans to purchase it, ObamaCare severely restricts the liberty of both employers and employees. Such a broad interpretation of federal power can only come at the expense of other constitutional rights, such as the guarantee of religious liberty and freedom of association.”
The Honorable Arlene Wohlgemuth is the executive director and director of the Center for Health Care Policy at the Texas Public Policy Foundation. She served 10 years in the Texas House of Representatives, specializing in health care issues.Texas Public Policy Foundation is a non-profit, free-market research institute based in Austin.

Angola stands up to Islam, US should take note.
Here is an article article from Bare Naked Islam. They do really good work exposing the truth about Islam and I love their tag line: It isn’t Islamophobia when they really ARE trying to kill you.
Before we get to the good stuff a few things to remember.
Islam has been around for about 13 centuries. In those 13 centuries they’ve added a few things to history.
There’s lots more, but you get the idea.
Islam is not now, nor has it ever been a “religion of peace”, and George W. Bush had his head firmly planted in his nether regions when he made that misplaced pronouncement.
Islamists – Muslims – have been making war on “infidels” since day one. They are naturally born butchers to the bone and the only time they’ve taken a break from butchery is when they were faced with a power who was willing and appeared to be able to wipe them off the face of the earth. They used the downtime to rearm.
Well, all that said, let’s look at what’s happening in Angola. Here’s the Bare Naked Islam article.
By popular demand, Angolan authorities have taken pre-emptive action and decided to ban the Muslim religion, which they consider a cult, NOT a religion. They see what Muslims are doing to Christians, especially in Africa, and are taking steps to prevent the same from happening in Angola.
“What Muslims are doing to Christians…” From an article by Breitbart…
On Thursday, Breitbart News reported on recent attacks on Christians in the Middle East and wondered why it took an attack on an Anglican church for Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby to finally condemn the violence. Pope Francis has consistently spoken about and condemned the slaughter of Christians in the Middle East, but where are the politicians and, more importantly, the American churches?
Attacks last weekend brought this important story to the front page. Two suicide bombers blew up an Anglican church last Sunday in Pakistan and killed over 85 worshipers. On September 21, 10 to 15 members of the radical Islam terrorist group al-Shabaab stormed an Israeli-owned mall and targeted non-Muslims, killing at least 61 civilians; the death toll is expected to increase once all the bodies are recovered inside.
The fact is this has been going on for decades. Christianity was born in the Middle East and it is literally dying out in the region at the hands of radical jihadists.
Let me repeat, butchers. B.U.T.C.H.E.R.S. The whole article is worth a read as background for the story in Angola.
I'm pointing out this story today because, as Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA) said in a letter to Catholic and Protestant leaders…
In his letter challenging U.S. religious leaders, Wolf quoted Lutheran pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was executed for his efforts in the Nazi resistance: “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
From Bare Naked Islam…
Xibaaru In early October 2013, the Muslims living in Luanda in the municipality of Viana Zango were shocked to see the minaret of their mosque dismantled into pieces on the ground without permission. On Thursday 03 October in the morning, the Angolan authorities decided to destroy the mosque Zango located in the urban district of Viana 17 km. The governor of Luanda Bento announced in a radio spot that radical Muslims are not welcome in Angola and the Angolan government is not ready for the legalization of mosques in Angola.
And on Tuesday, November 19, the Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva said. “Regarding Islam, the legalization process has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. Therefore all mosques would be closed until further notice. “ It should be noted that the Angolan government has made closing of all mosques a priority. The only two mosques located in Luanda have already received a warning document signed by the mayor of the municipality of Viana José Moreno.
The provincial governor of Luanda, Bento Bento, said on the airwaves of local radio that “radical Muslims are not welcome in Angola and the Angolan government is not ready for the legalization of mosques.” Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva explained that the law on freedom of religion will be reviewed given the current national context , noting that the Government will redouble its efforts to fight relentlessly against religious cults like Islam which are contrary to the customs of Angolan culture.
The prostitutes of Nevada’s Bunny Ranch love Obamacare. But if a recent interview with them are any indication, they don’t seem to have a clue what it is all about.
The prostitutes appeared on Reno’s KRNV TV full of praise for Obamacare ladled on as thick as their makeup. At least two of the girls were gushing about how great Obamacare is and how they fully support it.
The official poverty rate for a single person is only $11,500 a year. For a family of four it is only $23,500. Now, Dennis Hoff, the owner of the Bunny Ranch, has said that the Bunny Prostitutes can make $50,000 in a month, much less a year. But even if they did only make the national average they make far too much to qualify for any subsidy as a single person.
So, for all the wonderfulness that is Obamacare, it will cost these girls many thousands more than they think.
Let’s see how great they think Obamacare is when they find out how much it’s going to cost them!
By the way, Obama wasn't the only person who lied.
(These quotes come from Rep. Kevin McCarthy)
Let’s not forget that it wasn’t just President Obama who repeatedly told people that if they like their healthcare plan, they could keep it.
When Obamacare was finally passed in the House, 219 Democrats voted for it, repeating the same false promise as the President did to the American people.
Tomorrow, House Democrats have an opportunity to clarify whether they truly meant for people who liked their healthcare plan to be able it keep it, or if this was just a sales tactic to shove an already unpopular bill through Congress.
Running into Democrats who can’t quite remember making this promise? We’ve compiled a few examples for you below. We fully expect them all to be “yes” votes on Chairman Upton’s “Keep Your Health Plan Act” (HR 3350).
Oh, and pay special attention to the highlighted Members. They originally made this promise, but have since “updated” their websites. Whatever is plaguing Healthcare.gov must be catching…
Rep. Butterfield: “For North Carolinians who already have health insurance, the only changes you will see under the Affordable Care Act are new benefits, better protections from insurance company abuses, and more value for every dollar you spend on health care. If you like your plan you can keep it, and you don’t have to change a thing due to the health care law.” ("Health Care Resources," as seen on 10/24/2013)
Rep. Cárdenas: “If you have insurance right now, your plan stays the same. This means if you get your health insurance through work, if you have Medicare or if you are a member of California Healthy Families, you keep that coverage.” ("What Valley Residents Need to Know about Health Care Reform")
Rep. Castor: “…If you like your health insurance, you can keep it. Keep your current doctor as you see fit.” ("What Does Health Insurance Reform Mean for You?")
“Nothing in this bill will force you to drop your current coverage. Rest assured, if you like your health insurance, you can keep it.” (Press Release, 7/31/2009)
Rep. Clarke: “IF YOU HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE…You can keep your doctor and your plan.” (“What Health Care Reform Means for You”)
Rep. Clay: “Under the legislation, individuals and families with employer-based coverage can keep the health insurance coverage they have now, and it will get better.” (Congressman Clay’s Capitol Hill Report, 11/10/09)
Rep. Cleaver: “I am committed to a health care plan that covers every single American, reduces the cost of care, allows people to keep their insurance if they like” (Press Release, 8/20/2009)
Rep. Connolly: “I already have insurance through an employer, a union, Medicare, Medicaid, TriCare, the VA, COBRA, or a retirement plan. Do I need to do anything? No. If you have coverage from any of these sources, you can keep it. Nothing in the Affordable Care Act requires you to change plans.” (Obamacare FAQ)
Rep. Conyers: “Your premiums and other costs will not increase as a result of health care reform and if you like the coverage you have now, you’ll be able to keep it. In fact, you’ll get some additional help paying for premiums and out-of-pocket costs.” (“How Will Obamacare Affect Me?” Questionnaire)
Rep. Costa: “I currently have an insurance plan that works. How will the new health care law affect me? Health reform protects existing coverage, and encourages employers to maintain it. It also improves current coverage by strengthening consumer protections.” (Obamacare FAQ)
Rep. Crowley: “Our health care plan provides stability and security for those who have health insurance. If you like what you have, you can keep it.” (Press Release, 11/7/2009)
Rep. Cuellar: “Keep your doctor, and your current plan, if you like them.” (Health Care Reform Summary, prepared by House Democratic Leadership, 8/10/2009)
Rep. Davis, Danny: “It protects current coverage allowing individuals to keep the insurance they have if they like it and preserves choice of doctors, hospitals, and health plans. It achieves these reforms through…” (Health Care Reform Summary)
Rep. DeFazio: “The legislation is not a government takeover of health care. It will not get between anyone and their doctor. If you have insurance, you can keep your current plan.” (Press Release, 3/24/2010)
Rep. DeGette: Not a quote attributed to her, but part of a news article she posted on her website: “Mr. Obama has said repeatedly, as he told the American Medical Association in June: “If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.” These assurances reflect an aspiration, but may not be literally true or enforceable.” (In the News, 8/10/2009)
Rep. Deutch: “If you have job-based health insurance you like, you can keep it.” (Health Care FAQ)
Rep. Doggett: “If you already have coverage through your employer, Medicare, TRICARE, or some other source, you can keep that insurance and you are not required to buy additional coverage.” (The Affordable Care Act)
Rep. Ellison: “If you like the insurance you have, you can keep it. Don’t listen to that stuff you heard in the last hour, Mr. Speaker. The truth is, you get to keep your health insurance if that’s what you want.” (Floor Speech)
Rep. Engel: “This is a great day for all Americans from all walks of life – seniors, youth, the sick and the healthy. If you have health insurance, you can keep your doctor and your health plan. You like it, you keep it. It’s that simple.” (Press Release, 11/9/2009)
Rep. Eshoo: “Q. My employer already provides coverage for me and my family and I like my plan. Do I need to do anything differently? A. No. You just keep the coverage you have.” (Press Release, as seen on 10/22/2013)
Rep. Farr: “If you have job-based health insurance you like, you can keep it. You’re considered covered. You may be able to change to Marketplace coverage if you prefer.” (Obamacare FAQ)
Rep. Fattah: ““This plan means that those who are satisfied with their current coverage and doctor can keep their plan and their physician. However, if they aren’t happy with their coverage then this plan will help them find and afford quality healthcare.” (Press Release, 7/14/2009)
Rep. Garamendi: “Just six months after our historic health insurance reforms were signed into law, important consumer protections are going into effect. These protections mean that never again will your insurance run out or be taken away from you when you need it the most.” (Press Release, 10/20/2010)
Rep. Green, Gene: “If you have job-based health insurance you like, you can keep it. In fact, with new regulations and standards, the insurance you currently have will include new consumer protections like no lifetime limits, minimum coverage standards, and limits on administrative costs.” (Obamacare FAQ)
Rep. Grijalva: “No one is forced to do anything. The entire premise of this legislation is to build on what works in today’s system. If you have employer sponsored health care today - as do most insured people – than little to nothing will change, except that your premiums will no longer subsidize coverage for the uninsured. If you are covered in the individual insurance market, you can keep your plan permanently and it will count as acceptable coverage even if it doesn’t meet those terms under the new law.” (Obamacare FAQ)
Rep. Hastings (FL): “Individuals who already have health insurance through their employers or are self-insured will keep their insurance. There is absolutely no provision within the ACA that would remove existing coverage from individuals and families. Furthermore, the law will make existing plans more secure and affordable.” (Obamacare FAQ)
Rep. Honda: “Under the bill, if you are covered by a large employer, you are not likely to see many changes to your healthcare coverage.” (Blog Release, 4/5/2010)
Rep. Hoyer: "We need to build upon the current system of employer-sponsored care, with a system that provides patients their choice of insurance coverage and their choice of doctors. In other words, if you like what you have, you should be able to keep it." (Town Hall Meeting, 4/21/2009)
Rep. Jeffries: “But I’m happy with my health care. What does this change for me?
Nothing. You can keep the plan you have, and will enjoy many of the benefits of the Affordable Care Act, including the prohibiting of insurance companies from dropping your coverage just because you are sick.” (Obamacare FAQ)
Rep. Johnson (GA): “It is important to note that nothing will change for those who are happy with the insurance they already have from their employer, seniors on Medicare, TRICARE or people on Medicaid.” (E-Newsletter, 7/24/2013)
Rep. Johnson, E. B.: “If you have health insurance you like, I want you to be able to keep it,” she continued.” (Telephone Townhall, 5/6/2009)
Rep. Kaptur: “The goal is to try to get you into a plan that you pick, where you feel you have very carefully monitored care, that you participate in, so nobody’s left out, nobody’s rejected and you have choices. That sounds like a much better system than we have today for so many people. If you like what you have, you keep it…” (Press Release)
"The whole intention of the law is to relieve some of the worries that seniors face," Congresswoman Kaptur said. And, "you keep the insurance that you have if you like it.” (Telephone Townhall)
Rep. Kennedy: “If you have job-based health insurance you like, it is not necessary to change your plan. You may be able to change to Marketplace coverage if you prefer. Any job-based health plan you currently have qualifies as minimum essential coverage.” (Obamacare FAQ)
Rep. Kind: “In order to increase access to affordable coverage we must make sure no one is denied coverage, specifically due to pre-existing conditions. Reform seeks to build on the existing system so that if you like your employer sponsored health insurance, you can keep it.” (Press Release, 7/22/2009)
Rep. Langevin: “Keep your doctor, and your current plan, if you like them.” (Newsletter, 8/10/2009)
Rep. Larsen (WA): “This bill will give the power back to the American consumer. It preserves choice and creates competition in the insurance market. If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. If you change jobs, you can keep your coverage.” (Press Release, 3/21/2010)
Rep. Larson (CT) “I am committed to health care reform that allows you to keep your current plan if you like it, reform that puts you and your doctor in charge of your care. The cost of inaction on health care will continue to debilitate our families, small businesses, and our nation.” (Press Release, 8/24/2009)
Rep. Levin: “If you like your current health plan, you will be able to keep it. But it is clear that our nation wants us to fix what’s not working by reducing costs, increasing prevention, improving quality, and covering uninsured Americans,” said Rep. Levin.” (Press Release, 6/9/2009)
Rep. Lewis: “This bill does not replace employer-sponsored coverage, it actually adds to the choices people have. If people like their insurance, they can keep it.” (E-Newsletter, 10/10/2009)
Rep. Lujan Grisham (NM): “If you are already receiving coverage through eligible employer-sponsored insurance, eligible individual insurance, grandfathered health plans, and federal programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, VA Health Care, CHIP and others, you do not need to purchase new health insurance.” (Blog Post, 11/6/2013)
Rep. Matsui: “If you are insured and already have a “qualified” health insurance plan through your employer, nothing changes. You can keep your plan. You can keep your doctor.” (Obamacare FAQ)
Rep. McNerney: “Reforming health care is a fiscally responsible course of action that will build on the best of the American system by making sure people can keep their current insurance if they like it and choose what doctors they want see.” (Press Release, 3/22/2010)
Rep. Miller, George: “If you get insurance through your job or have Medicare, you don’t need to do anything — you can keep your insurance.” (Blog Post, 9/30/2013)
Rep. Nolan: “If you like the plan you have, you can keep it. And in fact, you’ll get a host of other built-in new consumer protections.” (ACA Resources)
Rep. Palone: “Our health plan fulfills commitments made by this Congress and President Obama to reform health care. The plan … Keeping your doctor and your plan if you like them.” (Press Release, 7/19/2009)
Rep. Pocan: I have health insurance from my employer, and I like the plan that I have. Do I get to keep it? “You can keep the plan you have, and will enjoy many of the benefits of the Affordable Care Act, including the prohibiting of insurance companies from dropping your coverage just because you got sick.” (ACA FAQ)
Rep. Polis: “If you are currently insured and like the plan you have, you’ll likely be able to stick with your current plan.” ("Obamacare Enrollment Begins Today," 10/1/2013)
Rep. Price (NC): “Just as in the past, if you like your doctor, you can choose to stay with your doctor.” (Constituent Mailing, 7/14/2013)

Rep. Wasserman Schultz: “Let me be clear: if you like your current plan, you’ll be able to keep it. Rather, we will build on our current system, so we can give you the freedom to choose what works best for you and your family. If you like your doctor, keep your doctor. If you like your current plan, keep your current plan. If you don’t, or if you don’t have one, then get one that works for you.” (Press Release, 7/1/2009)
Rep. Watt: “Under the ACA, those who already have health insurance coverage under the following plans will continue to enjoy their coverage without interruption and without taking any action: Employer-sponsored plans” (Obamacare FAQ)

IN THE BOX.....Congressman Blake Farenthold.
Obama’s partners in "peace" in Iran to be allowed nuclear weapons, will also receive +7b bribe to keep pretending not to want them......
I love music awards shows, if for nothing else, to hear wingnuts screech of things that they know nothing. Example;
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis won Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album for The Heist.
“Now that I’m sitting here in front of millions of people, I’d like to address something extremely important to me. I was talking to my friend before the show and he reminded me of a great Martin Luther King quote. He said, ‘Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.’ And due to the fact that we are in Florida tonight accepting this award, I want to acknowledge Trayvon Martin and the hundreds and hundreds of kids each year that are dying due to racial profiling and the violence that follows it. This is really happening. These are our friends, our neighbors, our peers, and our fans, and it’s time that we look out for the youth and fight against racism and the laws that protect it.”
I liked music better when I didn't know so much about the artists.
I didn't know anything about Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Elvis, (young) Muddy Waters or Howlin' Wolf. I love their music.
Some words of wisdom from Bo Diddley:
Live fast. Die young.
Spare yourself the grim realities of the state fair reunion tour circuit.
On the other hand, it’s deathly hard to control one’s image from beyond the grave. Especially when you’ve got an award-winning PR Agency and a photo manipulation company teaming up to imagine how you might look had you survived! 12 more pictures here.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Kindly disregard that babe in the manger.
Every year as Christmas approaches, the Christmas War talk starts anew. Is there a war on Christmas? Some of my friends roll their eyes and utter, "please".....
The Post Office, which is advertising its holiday stamps series, has images of stamps that include a menorah with the word "Hanukkah," candles and people with African garb above the word "Kwanzaa,"
The Christmas Stamp is.....a gingerbread house. It's not only not Christ, it doesn't even say "Christmas."
Christians get a gingerbread house, scene of the famous story about witch killers Hansel and Gretel?
The Post Office does offer stamps with pictures of the Holy Family and the Virgin and Child for Christmas. It just didn't choose them for its ad as representative of the holiday. Am I picking nits?
Come on, a gingerbread house?
We get to share public viewing space with Kwanzaa, the made-up socialist non-holiday for.......never mind.
I guess I should be grateful Mary's not Twerking and Josephs not putting a condom on his shepard's crook.
Larry Klayman, an attorney who served in the Justice Department when Ronald Reagan was president, organized a gathering of The Reclaim America Now coalition which is composed of a number of organizations including 2 Million Bikers to D.C., Accuracy in Media, Freedom Watch, Gun Owners of America, Jihad Watch, Tea Party Patriots............Klayman told the audience that Nov 19 should be known as the start of the Second American Revolution, saying:
“We the People have had enough of the corrupt and incompetent ways of the Obama administration and its bipartisan political enablers. It is time for action, not words.”
Klayman was not advocating violence, but a peaceful revolution that all Americans could participate in:
“In the style of Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. and others who have changed history and reclaimed freedom, Americans have no choice – as the three branches of government have completely abdicated their representation of citizens’ complaints.”
Also speaking at the gathering was former Sen. Gordon Humphrey (R-NH) who told the crowd that the Obama administration has more power than Hitler’s SS, the Stasi of the former East German government and the Russian KGB :
“We are on the doorstep of tyranny, and that is not an overstatement.”
“It is our goal to roll back this incipient tyranny and re-establish freedom for generations to come.”
“We want accountability, Mr. President, and, by God, sooner or later, we are going to get it.”
Probably the most popular speaker at the gathering across from the White House was Retired Navy Admiral James Lyons. He spoke about the Rules of Engagement being used against our troops in Afghanistan and how the current administration is weakening our military and sending them to Afghanistan to be sacrificed and not to win.
Missing from the rally was Retired Army Major General Paul E. Vallely, who is busy speaking across the country calling for the immediate forced resignations of President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
In an interview with WND, Vallely said he is calling for protests and rallies nationwide. He also told them that peaceful civil uprisings are possible. When asked about the impeachment of Obama, he said that due to partisan politics that it is not an option at this time. In his interview, he said:
“Our federal government continues down the path of destroying America. Americans must now stand up and put America back on the right track.”
“And we call to action all branches of government to do your constitutional duties and not be led astray in the cultural and moral decay of America. We have witnessed far too many lies, deception and the corruption of the republic.”
“The battle is on, and we shall not retreat.”
I agree with Klayman, Humphrey, Lyons and Vallely.
A scourge of inner cities for years is finally getting traction in the media…..
For those unfamiliar with the knockout game, it’s how some black youths amuse themselves, especially in urban settings.
The goal: use a single devastating punch to knock a victim unconscious. And when they succeed, they invariably react with merriment and laughter, as videos capturing the mayhem have revealed. Could racism be motivating these black youths? Nobody in the mainstream media dares suggest that this might be fueling the black mob violence in what President Obama said would be a post-racial era.
The knockout game, to be sure, has been around a few years. It has been mostly ignored by the mainstream media, which generally airbrushes out the black-on-white nature of the mayhem.
The knockout game, however, was the subject of a lengthy American Thinker article by John T. Bennett way back on July 14, 2011. Now, in light of the spate of recent attacks in New York City and nearby cities, some media outlets are belatedly acknowledging that the knockout game is indeed a growing trend – though they still tiptoe around the fact that the attackers are black.
There have been a slew of cases in just the past week – Gateway Pundit covered the latest case in St. Louis, Friday:
A St. Louis woman was slugged in the face this week in the latest local “knock-out game” attack.
Ashley Depew, is the younger sister who I taught at my dance studio. She was a victim of the “one Punch Knockdown,” a game that teenagers are now doing, this was done in STL a couple nights ago. Please Pray for a quick recovery as she is going under reconstruction surgery.
These groups of teenagers will punch out anybody, then scatter to run. please don’t be a victim and always be aware of your surroundings!
Greta Van Susteren made a plea to black leaders in a position of influence with black youth, to step up- and say something:
People are getting hurt and murdered, and even those who live in these communities where this is happening. They have a right to be safe, and they don’t have to live in fear of having their children hurt or even poisoned by ugly peer pressure, right? This game has to be condemned. And in order for the condemnation to have any impact whatsoever it has to come from important role models to these young teens.
Reverend Jackson? Reverend Al? Reverend Wright? Anyone? I'm deaf, I can't even hear crickets..
